PRIVACY NOTICE

Northbound Transport Inc.

Effective and last updated October 11, 2026

This notice explains how Northbound Transport Inc. handles information through this website, including freight quote requests, career applications, address suggestions, ALLY, customer reviews and private admin accounts.

Information you provide

Quote requests collect your name, email, phone number, optional company name, pickup and delivery addresses, preferred pickup date, freight type, weight and any additional shipment details you enter. Northbound uses these details to discuss your request, review requirements and follow up about pricing and availability.

Career applications collect your name, email, phone number, present address, role of interest, experience, CDL status, an uploaded resume and additional application details. Resume uploads are required and accept PDF, DOC or DOCX documents up to 2 MB. Northbound uses this information to review your expression of interest and contact you about suitable opportunities. Applying does not confirm an opening or employment.

If additional fields appear on a form, the information you enter in them is included with your submission. The required consent checkbox allows Northbound to contact you about that request or application; it is not a subscription to marketing messages. Please avoid including payment details, government identification numbers or other sensitive information that is not needed for the request.

Form processing and email delivery

Submitted forms are validated by the website server and, when email delivery is configured, forwarded to Northbound’s designated business inbox. Delivery may use Google Apps Script and Google’s email service, or Resend when configured. Your email address is included so the team can reply. Uploaded resumes are sent as email attachments; this website does not maintain a separate resume or application document library.

Northbound and its email providers may retain the resulting messages and attachments. Technical submission references and delivery status may also be processed to prevent duplicate messages and protect the service.

If a form reports that delivery is unavailable or could not be confirmed, do not assume your request was received. Contact Northbound using the details below. Opening an email-app link prepares a draft in your chosen email service; you must send that email yourself. Review submissions have separate storage and approval handling described below.

Address search and suggestions

When address suggestions are connected, text typed into Pickup address, Delivery address or Present address is sent through the website server to Geoapify after you type at least four characters. Searches can happen while you are typing, before you submit the form. Geoapify returns U.S. address suggestions. You can enter the full address manually without selecting a suggestion, although typing in a connected search field can still trigger a search.

Geoapify’s handling of search requests is described in its privacy policy (https://www.geoapify.com/privacy-policy/).

ALLY assistance

When you send a message to ALLY, your question and recent conversation messages are sent to this website’s server. ALLY retrieves relevant passages from reviewed public company information using a local keyword and synonym/concept index, then returns a grounded answer with source links when a match is available. It asks for clarification or refers you to dispatch when information is not confirmed.

The current ALLY implementation does not send conversations to OpenAI or another external AI generation service. Private applications, admin records and customer reviews are not used as its knowledge base. The chat feature does not create a persistent conversation record in the website’s data store. Messages remain in the current page’s memory and are cleared when the page is reloaded; hosting and security services may still process technical request information.

Do not share sensitive personal information in chat. ALLY cannot submit forms, send emails on your behalf, book shipments, quote confirmed prices, make hiring decisions or access live tracking. Confirm shipment and employment arrangements directly with Northbound.

Customer reviews and publication approval

A review submission includes your chosen display name, star rating, review text, consent to publication and a submission reference. The website adds a submission date and stores the review privately with its hosting service while awaiting a decision. An approval notification containing the review is sent to Northbound’s designated inbox. The notification includes a link to the admin portal. An authorized owner or partner must sign in before approving or denying publication; opening the link alone does not publish a review.

Only approved reviews appear publicly. Published information includes the display name, rating, review text and submission date. The latest four approved reviews appear first, and visitors can browse older approved reviews with the page controls. Public reviews can be read or copied by other visitors.

Pending, denied and hidden reviews are excluded from public display. Hiding an approved review removes it from display while allowing a later approval or denial. A denied review remains private, and its denial is final in the current moderation workflow. Hiding or denying a review does not delete its stored record or any notification emails. Moderation dates and the responsible admin account may be recorded privately.

A received review remains privately available for administrator approval even if its notification email cannot be confirmed. Do not include contact details, shipment references or sensitive information in a review. Reviews are visitor submissions and are not independently verified. Contact Northbound to report a review or request a correction or removal.

Owner and partner accounts

Private admin accounts are used to manage business settings, website assets, forms, reviews and publication history. Account information includes the admin’s first and last name, email, role, access status, password hash, setup-link information and session records. Passwords are stored as salted hashes rather than readable passwords. Publication and moderation records identify the responsible admin by name and email.

A necessary, protected session cookie keeps an admin signed in for up to eight hours. Password setup and reset links expire after 24 hours and are intended for one use. Only the owner can invite or remove partner accounts. Removing a partner revokes access and removes them from the active account list; a limited removal record, including the email and removal details, may remain. It does not automatically erase earlier publication or moderation history.

Hosting, security and cookies

Hosting and service providers process technical information needed to deliver pages and protect forms and admin access, which may include network addresses, browser details, request times and error information. Depending on the hosting environment, protection uses request limits, hashed identifiers, login-attempt counters and submission references. This website’s code does not include advertising trackers or set advertising cookies. Admin sign-in uses the necessary session cookie described above.

The published website uses Netlify for hosting and stored review, account, settings and publication records. Local development previews keep their review and admin data separate from the published site. Connected email or address-search services may still process requests from a testing environment.

Service providers and external links

Information is shared with service providers as needed to host the website, deliver submitted messages, provide address suggestions and operate admin and review features. The provider used depends on the feature and configuration. See the privacy information for Netlify (https://www.netlify.com/privacy/), Google (https://policies.google.com/privacy), Resend (https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy) and Geoapify (https://www.geoapify.com/privacy-policy/).

Google Maps, the official FMCSA record and other external links take you to third-party services. Those services handle information under their own notices. Opening a phone or email link uses your chosen phone or email application.

Retention, corrections and removal requests

Northbound manages retention of business correspondence and career applications in its email systems. Stored reviews, admin records and publication history do not currently have a general automatic deletion schedule. They may remain until Northbound removes them or changes its retention arrangements. Expiration of a session or private approval link ends its use; it does not necessarily delete the associated stored record.

To ask about information you submitted, request a correction or deletion, report a public review or ask a privacy question, contact Northbound using the details below. Include enough information to locate the record without sending unnecessary sensitive details. Northbound may need to confirm the request relates to your information. Removing information from this website may not remove copies already held by email recipients or other visitors.
